George, William ‘Bill’ Calvin, (Dec. 7, 2012) Obituaries — By JD Booth on December 11, 2012 at 6:55 pm Tragically on Friday, December 7, 2012 on the waters of Lake Huron, William "Bill" Calvin George of Kettle and Stoney Point First Nation was taken from us at the age of 58. Beloved Partner & Friend of Cheryl Levy (Moore). Loving father of Wayne "Bobby" & Candice Simpson, Andrew & Deanna George, M. William (Bill) & Crystal George, Mike & Monica Levy, and Aaron Levy. Cherished grandfather of Kayden, Alex, Taylor, Grayson, Madison, and Nolan. Sadly missed brother of Brian & Marilyn Monague, Pat Williams, Joseph & Wanda George, Kevin George, Roland George, Phyllis & Tom Rauws, and Marion George. Survived by the mother of his children Wanda Gray. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. Predeceased by his parents Calvin (Cabbage) & Mildred (Midge) George. Through the years Bill was an active athlete, excelling in hockey. He enjoyed all aspects of outdoor life. A humble and courageous man, his passion was fishing. Bass fishing was his sport-fish of choice. Through his passion, many individuals became loving and devoted friends. Known by all who ever knew him as a loving father and grandfather, caring brother, devoted partner, cherished friend, insightful teacher and respected member of the First Na tion Community. Bill is resting at his Family Residence at 9548 Lake Road, Kettle and Stoney Point First Nation for visitation on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 afternoon and evening. Funeral Service on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from the Kettle Point Community Centre at 11:00am. Interment Kettle Point Cemetery with Pastor Murray Shawnoo officiating. Memorial donations to the Kettle and Stoney Point Fire Department gratefully acknowledged.
